How Does TrackMyShipments Work?

When you order online, your supplier will send you a ‘Your Order Has Shipped’ email when it ships your order. Once you have an account on TrackMyShipments.com you simply forward that ‘Your Order Has Shipped’ email to track@trackmyshipments.com.

The TrackMyShipments system will then examine your email and extract the company (eg ‘Amazon’), the shipper (eg ‘Fedex’), and the tracking number. The email can be in any format and any layout and the TrackMyShipments will cope without problems.

The TrackMyShipments system then constantly tracks the shipment using data gathered from the shipping company’s systems and updates you via the website, email and SMS text message alerts.

You can view the status of all your shipments at any time by logging onto TrackMyShipments.com.

It’s easy to use and much more straightforward than the alternative of having to find the original ‘Your Order Has Shipped’ email and then having to Cut&Paste the Tracking Number into the shipping company’s website.

How Do I Manually Enter A Shipment?

You can manually add a shipment by sending an email with no subject line to track@trackmyshipments.com, and it should look like this:

UPS tracking XXXXXXXXX tmscompany YYYYYY

where XXXXXXXXX is the tracking number (with NO spaces) and YYYYYY is the Company name for that shipment - all in the body of the email.

The shipping company should be: UPS, FEDEX, DHL or USPS.

What Does TrackMyShipments Cost?

TrackMyShipments is free-of-charge for all our features except for SMS Text Updates, and/or if you want to track more than 9 shipments at any one time. Both of these are included in our PRO Account. Our PRO account costs $20/year.



Note: The FREE version of our iPhone App lets you track 1 shipment at any one time to allow you to sample the TrackMyShipments product and service.

How Do I Add My Multiple Email Addresses To My Account?

Associates lets you send in tracking requests from 2 or more email addresses, and they'll get listed in your main TrackMyShipments' account.

To add an Associate email address, send an email to track@trackmyshipments.com with this in the body of the email:

tmsassociate email1@email.com

replace email1@email.com with your 2nd email address.

To add more than one Associate email address, put this in the body of the email:

tmsassociate email1@email.com email2@email.com email3@email.com

replace email1@email.com, email2@email.com and email3@email.com with all your other addresses from which you'll send tracking requests.

You can add up to 6 Associate accounts. They don't all have to be added at the same time.

Note that if you add an Associate, you cannot also have a separate account on TrackMyShipments with that email address.

Now whenever you send in a tracking request from any Associate email address, they'll end up in your main TrackMyShipments account.

Do You Support Amazon, or Supplier X?

The TrackMyShipments system automatically supports ALL suppliers! No need to worry - just open an account and then forward your ‘Your Order Has Shipped’ emails to
track@trackmyshipments.com and we’ll start tracking your shipment.

Which Shipping Companies Do You Support?

TrackMyShipments currently supports shipments shipped via Fedex, UPS, USPS (United States Postal Service) and DHL. We are adding new shippers all the time. Please let us know if you'd like us to add a shipping company to our service.

We currently support shipments sent via FedEx, UPS, USPS and DHL and will be adding more over time. If there is a particular shipping company that you’d like us to add, please contact us.

What Do The Map Icons Mean?


Arrow shows where the shipment is heading.
The icon's color shows the shipping company.


Position of the shipment, but no direction information available.

How Do I See The Original
'Your Order Has Shipped' Email?

Click on icon to the left of the shipment's summary on the main shipments/map page.

How Do I Get A Summary Email From TrackMyShipments?

At any time, you can send a blank email with the subject ‘summarytms’ to track@trackmyshipments.com
and the system will reply with an overview of all your current shipments.

How Do I Delete A Shipment?

At any time, you can delete a shipment by clicking on the icon. TrackMyShipments also deletes all 'delivered' shipments from your account about a week after they are Delivered.

How Do I Change My Password?

You can change your password at any time by clicking on 'My Account' (from the main shipments/map page).

Will You Share My Information With Anyone?

We will never provide your personal information (name, password, email address or cell phone number) with anyone. We may provide pooled data (eg How many shipments we tracked to Iceland in June) to 3rd parties, but it will never include your personal information.
